Lily Cole's directorial debut, 'Wild Rubber'

No stranger to the camera, model Lily Cole has stepped behind the lens to
make her directorial debut for Sky Rainforest Rescue and WWF, as part of
their inititative to save one billion trees.
Shot on Cole's own super 8 camera, the film is a story of exploration,
embracing nature and uncovering the wonders of the rainforest. During a one
week visit to the awe-inspiring Amazon Rainforest, Cole explored the space
alone and captured everything from caterpillars, to the experiences she
shared with local wild rubber workers.

A fashion film created using the Xbox Kinect as a 3-D scanner

To coincide with our *SHOWcabinet: Prosthetics* exhibition, SHOWstudio
teams with recent LCF MA Fashion Artefact graduate Annelie Gross on a
pioneering film created by Jon Emmony using the Xbox Kinect as a 3D scanner.
The work features Gross' *Defects* series, which draws on her background
growing up in a family of orthopedic technicians and prostheses
constructors to explore notions of restriction and distortion.

Monday night marked the opening of the *Punk: Chaos to Couture*
exhibitionat the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The exhibition marks the
progression of
the subculture from underground youth movement to high fashion influence
through designers such as Riccardo Tisci and Rei Kawakubo, scene icons
such
as Johnny Rotten and cult locations such as Vivienne Westwood's
Seditionaries shop. Aptly, given that SHOWstudio's director and founder

After months of work alongside the Met team as a consultant on the *Punk:
Chaos to Couture* exhibition, Nick Knight headed to New York for the
opening gala. Using his favourite iPhone app Instagram, Knight captured the
mood of the event by shooting everything from Karlie Kloss in a glittering
Louis Vuitton gown to the Met's newly installed chandelier made of 25,000

innovative film maker and director Marcel L'Herbier, the festival features

Today, Saturday 27 April, is the second day of the Hyères Festival 2013.
Yesterday saw the grand opening of the festival and exhibitions in the
beautiful villa Noailles, atop the towering Montee de Noailles – thank god
for Mercedes-Benz for ferrying guests up and down! Yesterday evening also
gave festival attendees the chance to view the work of this year’s ten
shortlisted designers at a fashion show at the hangar de la Mouture. Also
