Monday night marked the opening of the *Punk: Chaos to Couture* exhibitionat the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The exhibition marks the progression of the subculture from underground youth movement to high fashion influence through designers such as Riccardo Tisci and Rei Kawakubo, scene icons such as Johnny Rotten and cult locations such as Vivienne Westwood's Seditionaries shop. Nick Knight shoots live from the Met Gala

After months of work alongside the Met team as a consultant on the *Punk: Chaos to Couture* exhibition, Nick Knight headed to New York for the opening gala. Using his favourite iPhone app Instagram, Knight captured the mood of the event by shooting everything from Karlie Kloss in a glittering Louis Vuitton gown to the Met's newly installed chandelier made of 25,000 razor blades.
